8th December 2017 will always be etched in our minds as the date we moved into our brand new office. Not only because we now have a bigger and better space, but also the fact that it symbolises just what a great year 2017 has been for the Green Custard team.
Our 2017 highlights
The first of our top 3 highlights is the team itself. At the start of the year, we announced the acquisition of Versio4 ), a fellow Cambridge-based software consultancy. This bold move meant the team doubled in size, and the specialist skill sets and years of experience were combined together to provide even stronger results to our customers. That was just the beginning of our growth spurt, as we continued to recruit team members into brand new developer roles throughout the year.
Stepping out of the office, our second highlight of 2017 is Jonathan’s trip to Google I/O in San Francisco! Of course this made us all very jealous, but it’s in our nature as a team to continuously learn. By attending these kinds of events, away from our desks, we have the opportunity to gain fresh insight which can be shared with the team, partners, and customers.
Our last highlight, but certainly not least, is the projects we have worked on in 2017. Enterprise projects have included training solutions for HSBC with partner OnTrack International, and close working with Rakuten Fits Me on their workwear solutions. We’ve also enjoyed working with a number of local startups in and around Cambridge including Fluidic Analytics and Focal Point to name but a few. Thanks to all of our customers for giving us the opportunity to work on such interesting projects throughout the year.
Gavin sums the year up nicely …
“2017 has been a great year for Green Custard, with a growing team and a fantastic set of completed projects.”
Our new office!
So, what about the new office itself? Well, we’re still located at St John’s Innovation Centre, Cambridge, but now in one of the largest offices in the building!
As a team, we’re delighted with our new surroundings and have a real collective sense of moving onwards and upwards. It’s very much an office to be proud of and demonstrates that, as a company, we have moved to the next level. We can’t wait to welcome customers into the office (and our very own meeting room!) to meet the entire team looking after their projects.
2017 will certainly be tough to beat, but with lots of new customer projects to get our teeth into, more new team members starting, and the launch of our brand new website – we’re certain 2018 won’t disappoint.
